These pages review of some of the issues we have been looking at during the Thursday morning Naming of the Parts sessions. Quite a lot of things have been demonstrated and discussed since the beginning of the course, many of which are probably completely new to you. The brief asks students to prepare a digital Haiku and publish it as a web page. I have asked students to identify a personal goal that can be reached while making this. The general consensus for this goal is to increase familiarity with the Macintosh systems used by the college, the Internet, HTML and E-mail use. So I have tried to relflect this by including relevant resources in the following pages.

Netscape 4.07- is the browser used on the Apple Macintosh computers in Macc 1. This will be the specific 'platform' that we must usesto design webpages for during this module. That's not to say your designs can't be 'cross platform' but keep in mind that the final assesment on Thursday 14th June will take place there and that each person only gets 10 minutes so everything needs to work properly first time.

There are many tutorials for using computer applications worth looking at on-line. A good HTML one has been written by the NSCA (Natoinal Centre for Super Computing) at the University of Illinois.
